The Eternity Cure (Blood of Eden, #2)The Eternity Cure by Julie Kagawa
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

By the time the novel arrived at my doorstep I was gleefully caressing the book like a maniac. I was totally head over heels on its beauty.

I was so eager to read the book, alas, I didn't have the time until weeks later.

The anticipated wait for months was worth it.

I didn't start Blood of Eden series until the start of 2013, and I was kind of grateful because by the time I finished the first book, I almost slammed my head on the table begging for the second book. Thank God I didn't have to wait as long as others.

The Eternity Cure delivered on every part I wished for. The plot, tension, drama, characters. It just radiated with brilliancy. Kagawa created a very poignant story of a world going into ruins filled with rabids. Yet, throughout the book you can still smell hope that's lingering in every soul of the characters. The twists thrown are kind of expected on some parts, but was still executed brilliantly by Kagawa.

I needn't to say more about the world building since I've been singing praises for it on the first. Jackal received significant character development as well as Kanin's, and it's every bit enamouring to see into the depths of their demons and struggles. I loved every bit of interaction between Allison and Jackal, pfft.

AND EGAD MY FEELS MY FEELS. I FELT MY HEART SHATTERED AT THE END OF THE BOOK. Yet, some masochistic side of me screamed in glee. Nevertheless, it's a damn awesome twist.

Now, can I have the third book, please? *wink wink*

5 out of 5 stars.
