HOLY SMOKIN' ASS.

That was... phenomenal! I can't even say... I'm rendered speechless by it's amazingness (is that even a word?).

Seriously though, I cannot believe this is Leigh Bardugo's debut novel. At all. The writing style, characters, the plot, the world building was almost perfect. It's terrifying how accomplished Bardugo is on her very first novel.

Shadow and Bone was that good until the point I stayed awake util 5 AM in the morning to finish the book entirely. I spent six hours reading and unable to stop myself at all. All I could think about was "I must finish this bloody brilliant book."

GO AND GET THE DAMN BOOK. YOU'LL MISS OUT A LOT.

Everneath by Brodi Ashton

4.5 stars, leaning more towards 4 stars.

Everneath was... okay. Good but not blindingly awesome.

The reason is because after a few days I have finished the book, I have forgotten what the hell Everneath was about. Not forgetting in every bit of sense, but I forgot the main character's name, the initial start. I have a bad case of short term memory. It's useful for reviewing, though. I always remember my favourite books' characters.

Finnikin of the Rock by Melina Marchetta

Oh God. I can't even.

Melina Marchetta is every bit of brilliance. Finnikin of the Rock shines sublimely and I couldn't stop reading it at all. I'm at loss for words to even begin with. I can't explain how brilliant the book is, because explaining won't do the book justice. Just read the book. Trust me.

The world building, plot, characters, execution compel me every page. The plot, surprisingly, was every bit unpredictable. I really didn't guess any of the revelations coming.

Sheer brilliance.

I don't have anything else to say. Go and grab the book!
